The Yorkshire Football Forums
Hello and welcome to THE PRIDE OF YORKSHIRE.

This forum was set up on the 5th of September 2009 in order to give Yorkshire football fans a place to come and interact with fellow fans of all 10 league clubs in our county.

We operate a controlled environment, with each team having their own forum and moderator, to ensure everyone has equal rights. The main reason this forum was set up, was to allow its members the freedom to express themselves without the restraints some other 'multi-club' forums adopt.

However, abuse of other members will not be tolerated. Please keep discussions civil. If you are not prepared to behave appropiately, please don't register. Friendly banter between rival clubs is encouraged, personal abuse towards other members will result in a permanent ban.

Some sections of this forum are restricted to members, so to enjoy the full benefits of the site please register. Registered users also enjoy this website without the advertisements at the top of the page.

THANK YOU for visiting THE PRIDE OF YORKSHIRE and we hope to see you posting here in the future.

Solihull Tommorow.

Post by football-fan. on Fri 16 Jul - 21:28:54

Dont read too much into pre-seaon but we all need something to talk about so...

After a comfartable 2-0 win away to Askern Villa we then suffered a dissapointing result in a 0-0 draw to Quorn so as we all know anything can happen.

Whats everyones predictions then for the away trip to Soulhill?

Im going for a 3-0 win with a trialist getting 1 and Sheils and Sharp getting the others.

Tbh it shows how fickle football can be one wrong decision by the player/agent can break a career, Andy Watson, Theo Streete spring to mind easily at Donny, How many at other clubs

Jeez we are struggling to break down these small teams that should be hammered week in week out ..............''triallists or no triallists'. One goal scored against Quorn and Solihull, are we showing a weakness in our build up play ? Only 3 weeks to KO, we need to go up through the gears somewhat.
I know these games are usually considered fairly irrelevant by some but the lads need to get some confidence under their belts and quickly! Shocked

Pre-season friendlys mean fuck all mate.
Leyton Orient 6-1 Newcastle last pre-season.
Barnsley 0-3 Mansfield

The results dont mean owt,all about earning contracts, impressing the gaffer, proving fitness.

Stop Worrying.
We will win the JOMA cup. cheers
